The annual spring Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert is presently taking place at the Montreal's Palaise de congres. This year, the major sponsor of this always eagerly awaited Expo which is the organic grain company La Milanaise that  is dedicated to stay at the foreground of the organic cereal grain processing. The majority of their all organic grains are already grown in Quebec, and they are ensuring that additional Quebec organic grain suppliers will be also coming aboard very soon.

La Milanaise is also providing to all the Expo visitors free shopping bags, so they can buy and carry all the purchases they will make.

From its inception, the  Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert's mission has been to promote healthy eating, the overall health, and to raise the awareness of the importance of the quality of food as it affects our lifestyles, at the same time also focusing on the environmental ecology and the sustainability issues.

The Expo's main mission is to promote both the health of the Quebec population and that of the environment where we live. It presents and promote healthy food, organic agriculture, ecological alternatives, clean ecology, cosmetics, fitness, as well as therapeutic products and services.

At this Expo you will be tempted to taste and try many new foods and products that you might have never experienced before.

There are a couple of vendors who offer a variety of exotics looking mushrooms, and also a stand where you can try a coffee substitute made from powdered mushrooms and served to you by vendors wearing mushroom hats.

 

There are also various kiosks that promote supplements which are so important to support the immunity, the general health and well being. You can taste them and buy them at the Expo for cheaper than at the Montreal stores.

In order to help the visitors to determine as of what might be of interest to them, there is a long exhibit along one of the walls that features the Expo's products of interest. Check them out before visiting various kiosks.

A Tasting of Wines from Italy
28th Edition

This renowned Italian wine tasting series of events is reserved to trade professionals and is organized by the Italian Trade Commission (ITC) offices in Canada. It has started in Vancouver on October 24, then headed to Calgary on October 26, continued to Toronto on October 30, and had finally reached Montreal for this November 1st event at the MARCHÉ BONSECOURS' Salle de Bal et Salle Vieux-Montréal, at  Montreal's historical Old Port.

Over 470 professionals registered for the initial Vancouver edition of the “Tasting Of Wines From Italy” 2023 event series. Over the years the show has become the most anticipated and accredited Italian wine event in Canada and a main one for the Canadian industry as a whole. Overall, more than 3,500 wine agents, representatives from provincial Liquor Boards, and specialized media, opinion leaders, wine collectors and other specialized participants were expected and showed up at the four events.

The vast number of great wines and vintages made it very difficult to choose what to taste and in which order. Yet even the small number of wines tasted indicated the excellence of the Italian wine makers and of their final products.

This Montreal even had stood out by its distinct historical ambiance of the old Marché  Bonsecours' structure and architecture, and by its vast open spaces for the large number of exhibitors and the circulating visitors. 

Food that accompanied the event was also excellent.

Gambero Rosso - Tre Bicchieri 2023

Gambero Rosso - Tre Bicchieri was very happy to return to the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal for a new Montreal edition, showcasing over 50 Italian wine producers featuring nearly 200 wines from the most important wine regions of Italy.

This event was organized in collaboration with the Italian Trade Delegation in Montreal. It presented a unique opportunity to taste an incredible variety of highly rated wines as well as to meet some superb winemakers in person. Networking, new business, but also fun! There was a lot to discover during the tasting walks, stopping at many tables which offered varieties of white, red, rose and bubbly wines. The event offered opportunities to develop relationship, to acquire knowledge of new vintages, and to start fruitful business collaborations.

In addition, two master classes were scheduled to introduce Quebec wine professionals to wines they have not yet tasted.

Tenuta Viglione, the most remarkable organic wines of Puglia.

Delicious sandwiches were also served.
